So, I'm such an opinionated and obnoxious dork, and today I wrote Capcom a hateful email about Resident Evil 5, which hasn't been released yet (and won't until March at least). I've reached a level of nerddom where when I look at game trailers and gameplay videos that I'm already scrutinizing whether the games will be any good or not.
So Resident Evil 5 is coming out, and I've always enjoyed the others, but I'm well aware of their shortcomings. Without furhter udo, I'm back to my dual analog finicky bias babble. Okay, I've been watching tons of gameplay videos for Resident Evil 5 because it looks good, but already I'm coming to some conclusions about it that I'm really uneasy with. By watching to how the player characters in the videos move, and from what I've seen, I'm pretty confident that the control scheme will be as follows: left analog will be for forward/backward movement, left/right turning (not strafing) and the right analog of course being the camera and over the shoulder aiming, with a fixed camera behind the player character's shoulder. Not to mention, there's no shooting while moving. I felt these were issues even when I played RE4, and to see it go another far and few between sequel to this series, it really sucks to see these very noticeable issues still go unresolved, and it further bugs me because other than that the rest of the game looks pretty solid from what I've seen... hell, I may even get it anyway, but part of me is still pained by these two small issues.
Yeah, anyhow, if you know me, it shouldn't surprise you I talk of such silly things.
